Welcome!

I was born in 1967 in Napoli, where I grew up. I moved to Milano to study economics at Bocconi. In 1991, I moved to California, where I earned a PhD in Economics at UCLA. In 1996, I was in Madrid as an assistant professor at Universidad Carlos III. I then went back to Italy as an associate professor at Bocconi University. I am now in Lugano as a professor in economics and as director for the Centre for Economic and Political Research on Aging (CEPRA). I am married and I have two beautiful daughters: Chiara and Isabella.
